Install 9 Puzzles as an app
9 Puzzles can sit on your home screen like any other app: its own icon, its own window, and it keeps working offline. It comes straight from your browser, so there's no app store and nothing to pay.
You're already using 9 Puzzles as an app.
iPhone and iPad
- Open 9puzzles.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button: the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Tap Add to Home Screen. If it isn't there, scroll down the list.
- Tap Add.
Chrome, Edge and Firefox on iPhone have the same option in their Share menu.
Android
- Open 9puzzles.com in Chrome.
- Tap the menu at the top right.
- Tap Install app (on some phones, Add to Home screen), then Install.
Samsung Internet, Firefox and Edge have the same option in their menus.
Chrome or Edge on a computer
On Windows, a Mac, Linux or a Chromebook:
- Open 9puzzles.com.
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- Click Install.
No icon? Use the browser's menu instead: in Chrome, Cast, save and share → Install page as app; in Edge, Apps → Install this site as an app. The app opens in its own window and joins your other apps in the Start menu, the Dock or the launcher.
Safari on a Mac
On macOS Sonoma or later:
- Open 9puzzles.com in Safari.
- In the File menu, choose Add to Dock.
- Click Add.
Firefox on a computer
Firefox on a computer has no option to install a site as an app. To install 9 Puzzles, open it in Chrome or Edge, or keep it as a bookmark: it works just as well in a tab.
Good to know
- The app is the same site, so it stays up to date by itself.
- Your progress, stats and streak live in the browser you play in. A different browser starts fresh, and so does the app on iPhone, iPad and Safari on a Mac: it keeps its own, separate from Safari's.
Removing it
On a phone or tablet, press and hold the icon and remove it, as with any app. On a computer, open the app's menu and choose Uninstall. On a Mac, delete a Safari app from the Applications folder in your home folder.
