Blocks

How to play

Blocks is a 9×9 block puzzle. Drag the three pieces onto the board. When a row, a column or one of the nine 3×3 boxes is completely filled, it clears. Once all three pieces are placed you get three more. The run ends when none of the pieces you're holding fits anywhere — pieces can't be rotated, so plan ahead.

Scoring

Every cell you place is worth a point. Clearing scores ten times the square of the number of lines and boxes cleared at once — one is worth 10, two at once 40, three at once 90 — and clearing on consecutive moves adds a streak bonus.

Today's run

Everyone's first run of the day uses the same pieces in the same order, so scores compare fairly. After it, start as many new runs as you like; only the first one counts as the day's score.

Shortcuts

  • Tap a piece, then the cell for its top-left corner — or drag it.
  • On a keyboard: 1–3 pick a piece, arrow keys move, Enter places.
